The report suggests that BMW will only launch the top of the line X7 M50d variant at the beginning while the lower variants will hit the Indian market in September 2019. The long gap between the launches is to prepare the localisation of the SUV in India.

The BMW X7 made its debut at the LA Show in October. It is the first SUV from BMW to have three-row seats. The biggest SUV of the brand measures at 5151 millimetres in length, 2000 millimetres wide and 1805 millimetres tall, and with a wheelbase of 3105 millimetres. It stands on the big alloys available in the size of 20 to 22-inch.

BMW X7 India launch date

The cabin of the X7 comes with the luxurious features in-line with the 7-series sedan. The second and third row seats also hosts plenty of luxury and comfort features too. All the engine variants come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system.

Though the BMW X7 M50d is expected to be priced above ₹ 1.5 crore mark, it might get competitive when the lower variants come to the market. BMW will try to take its share from the market dominated by the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90.
