The 2018 C-Class Cabriolet gets the same exterior updates as the standard sedan and gets new set of LED headlamps with DRLs, slightly revised front and rear bumpers and a new set of alloy wheels. The new C-Class Cabriolet introduces two new metallic paint finishes “Mojave Silver” and “Selenite Grey” and one special paint “Designo Selenite Grey Magno”.

The fabric roof of the car can be had in four colours: red, black, blue and brown. The soft-top of the sedan can be opened or closed in 11 seconds and can be done on the go at a speed of up to 40 km/h.

Just like the hardtop version, the cabin of the new C-Class Cabriolet comes with a new-design steering wheel that borrows the dual touchpad control system from the higher models like the E-class and S-class facelift. It also gets a new 10.25-inch high-resolution screen with COMAND infotainment system.

Under the hood, the 2018 C-Class Cabriolet gets a 2-litre BS VI compliant petrol engine that makes 258 bhp and 370 Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to Mercedes’ 9-speed 9G Tronic automatic gearbox. The soft-top luxury sedan goes from 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds before topping out at 250 km/h.

Mr. Michael Jopp, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz India said, “Following the successful launch of the new C-Class, we are glad to introduce the stylish and suave new C-Class Cabriolet, which further extends the C-Class range with open top motoring. This fascinating cabriolet is aimed at the young target audience who enjoy driving an open-top luxury car. The introduction of the C-Class Cabriolet reiterates our ‘top of the pyramid’ strategy for the Indian market. We aim to continue our product offensive in India.”

The new C-Class Cabriolet is the 11th launch for Mercedes this year and fourth back to back in just over a month. Just recently the company launched the C-Class sedan, luxury estate E-Class All-Terrain and the mighty SUV G63 AMG.
