2019 Aston Martin Vantage India launch

The latest version of Aston Martin‘s popular GT Vantage has finally touched Indian soil today. Launched at an event at Aston Martin’s Mumbai dealership, the company’s most “affordable” model is priced at ₹ 2.95 crore (ex-showroom).

The 2019 version is a generation changing model for the Vantage. From chassis to powertrain and from design to technology, everything is new in the new Vantage. Aston Martin says over 70 percent of the chassis is new from its predecessor.

The aluminium structure used in the new Vantage is based on the one in the DB11. Some catchy details in the exterior of the car are the big wide grill at the front and the new signature LED taillamps at the rear.

Under its curvy hood, the Vantage packs AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 motor that churns out 503hp and 685Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels.

Aston Martin has mounted the engine as low and as far back as possible to ensure the optimal centre of gravity and a perfect 50-50 weight distribution. With so much power and an impressive lightweight of 1530 kg, new Vantage touches 100 km/h from standstill in just 3.6 seconds before topping out at 313 km/n. The car offers three modes to drive in according to your mood: Sport, Sport Plus and Track.

The bookings for the new Vantage in India have officially started today with the deliveries expected to start a couple of months later.
