Google has updated the website and mobile application of its Arts & Culture platform, home to all kinds of content from partners signed up to its Cultural Institute program.
Google’s Art and Culture is a one stop for all the art lovers across the globe. Be it paintings or historic monumnets, it will provide you all the data and make you wiser. There’s a search option accroding to timeline i.e 19th century, 20th or even colour-based search!
Google has also added an innovative ‘Art Recognizer’ tool that can identify works in selected museums and show detailed descriptions about each one. This feature is currently available at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
Finally, with the mobile application, users can slip their smartphone into Google’s Cardboard virtual reality viewer to step into the street art scene in Rome, visit the Temple of Zeus in Olympia (Greece) or take a look inside the White House. And have a 360 degree view!
