Publisher Nacon announced it is developing a new survival game set in the universe of the Terminator franchise. A new survival game set in The Terminator universe by Nacon Studio Milan was revealed today at the Nacon Connect 2022s reveal, although that is sadly all that was revealed.
After tantalizing fans months ago with some mysterious concept art, developer Nacon Studio Milan has announced a new open-world survival game set in the Terminator universe. Announced as part of the Nacon Connect 2022s reveal, a still-untitled Terminator was revealed to be in development at Nacon Studio Milan. “Just a tease of things to come, but in case you could not tell, we are huge fans of 80s movies, and our team from Nacon Studio in Milan is working on a very first game about Survival in the universe of The Terminator”.
At today’s Nacon Connect event, the French-based company revealed a teaser of the forthcoming open-world title set in The Terminator universe. Nation’s official Twitter account confirmed the Project is an open-world survival game using a post-apocalyptic setting, something that was already hinted at with dark skies in trailers.

It has been confirmed by Polygon that Terminator Survival Project will be set in the aftermath of an in-universe catastrophe known as Judgement Day, prior to those in Nacon’s previous Terminator games. In development at Nacon Studio Milan, Terminator Survival Project is an entirely new project, completely separate from the more linear Terminator games and adaptations that we have seen for decades.
The game is being developed by Nacon Studio Milan and will be the first video game about the Terminator survival, where the last remaining humans attempt to escape from their robot prey. While no gameplay has been revealed, Nacon has stated that the next Terminator game will be a survival game, which seems fitting to the time period in which this Terminator game is taking place.
The game sounds like it will be an engaging solo experience, or maybe even multiplayer where players work together, but Nacon Milan has yet to confirm if this will be a solo game or a team-based experience. The new Terminator Survival Game is going to have an open world and is set between the events of Judgement Day when Skynet’s nuclear attack virtually ends the human race and the formation of a resistance led by John Connor. The game is a survival-focused experience, which puts you into the open-world version of the acclaimed movie franchise.
