Activision Blizzard made more money on mobile games last quarter than the company did on PC and consoles combined. The company made over $100 million from mobile games, excluding income from “Other,” including call of duty league and distribution business. Still, the figure is less than 50% of the company’s total revenue. Mobile games are becoming a bigger part of the business than PC and co.

The company’s financial report shows that mobile games have taken over PC and console sales for the second consecutive quarter. The mobile segment accounted for nearly half of Activision’s total revenue, compared with 27% from PC and console games combined. But that’s still a big difference. Activision Blizzard has an upcoming acquisition with Microsoft, and the company continues to concentrate on the mobile market.

The company’s recent success with Diablo Immortal has helped it earn more on mobile than it did on PC and consoles. That makes the company’s strategy a sound one. The company has also acquired mobile developer King and released Diablo Immortal during the same period. While its console business has nearly halved over the past year, mobile gaming is making up for the lost revenue.

While Blizzard’s active users have recently recovered to levels they reached over a year ago, its revenue remains down a year on year. As of March 2022, Blizzard had only 22 million monthly active users down from 27 million in March. The success of Diablo Immortal helped the company return to the twenty-seven million mark in July.

This is an impressive feat, the company earned more money on mobile games than it did from PC and consoles combined. And it’s not only mobile games that have increased the company’s revenue Activision Blizzard may be willing to make more investments in the field. After all, it’s very expensive to develop AAA games. Therefore, mobile gaming has become an important part of the company’s revenue strategy.

Although the company has suffered from a recent spate of bad press, accusations of sexual harassment and union-busting tactics, the profits from mobile games are still substantial. In the long run, the company expects even bigger profits. Even after all this, the company remains one of the most profitable companies in the world. This is especially true considering its aggressive mobile game sales.

It should be noted that mobile games have been a huge part of Activision Blizzard’s success. Mobile games have grown tremendously in the past decade. With low entry costs and aggressive microtransaction schemes, mobile games are often highly profitable. In fact, Candy Crush, one of the most popular mobile games ever, accounted for $684 million in profits, while the company’s PC and console games combined made only $332 million. The numbers may sound impressive, but they are still quite modest. And this is not the end of the story, as with the release of Diablo Immortal Activision seems to go all in for mobile.
