A multilingual media production startup Homescreen Network Raises $2

Homescreen network, which is a multilingual media production startup revealed that it has now secured $2 Million in the funding round of Series A from the Venture Capital firm Saama Capital.

The startup revealed in a statement that it will now be going to use the fresh capital to build a scalable content platform to cater to the following audience of the native language speakers.

“We aim to use the funds to strengthen our content delivery platform and introduce more new languages in the coming year,” said Soum Paul, co-founder, and chief executive officer of Homescreen Network.

Homescreen Network is promoted by venture-building platform GrowthStory which has backed several other consumer internet companies such as BigBasket, Portea Medical, FreshMenu, HomeLane, and Bluestone.

Homescreen network uses a combination of internally generated material and content generated with a large network of trained creators.

It is as of now currently available in five languages: Bengali, Tamil, Hindi, English, and Kannada and with the distributed platform such as the DailyHunt, JioNews, SonyLIV, ShareChat.
