07 May 2016, CALIFORNIA: Instant messaging application, WhatsApp might be working on developing fully fledged WhatsApp to be made available for Windows and Mac OS according to TOI sources.
The app initially was available only on phone. Further WhatsApp Web, a web version of WhatsApp was introduced last year. However, it was only an extension and required smartphone to be connected to internet which annoyed several users.
Facebook owned WhatsApp which has more than a billion users, circulates around 42 billion messages and 1.6 billion photos daily. It also shares 250 million videos, thus making it arguably the most popular chat application
