While the H2 has been a staple of the AirPods Pro line for several years, its integration into the larger acoustic chambers of the Max provides significantly more thermal and processing headroom.
This jump in compute power enables Computational Audio at a scale previously unseen in consumer headphones. The H2 chip executes over 10 billion operations per second, allowing for real-time equalization that adapts to the specific fit and seal of the ear cushions.
