Fascinated by Deoxys in Pokémon FireRed? Here is the perfect plan to catch one! Follow the guide to know how you can get your hands on this Pokémon without a sweat. So, let’s get started without much ado.
About Deoxys
Deoxys is easily one of the most fascinating Pokémon in the game and is one of the fan-favorites. This is mostly because it’s literally an alien virus from space that mutated after hitting a laser beam. What makes it hard to face in battle is its DNA-shifting ability. It means that it can swap between Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed forms on the fly. It is literally a battle as smooth as butter with Deoxys by your side. However, one has to know that it can’t take a hit to save its life. It used to be simpler to catch them a little while ago but let us break down the process that you can follow currently.
Steps to catch Deoxys in Pokémon FireRed
If you want a Deoxys in FireRed, here is all you need to know about it.
The Ticket
This starts off a little tricky. Now, first off, you need the Aurora Ticket. In 2004, you got this at a Nintendo event. Today, you’ll likely need to use an Action Replay code or a save editor to bring in the ticket into your Mystery Gift. This seems a little twisted, but you’ll get the hang of it once you try.
The Harbor
Once that ticket is sitting in your Key Items pocket, you can simply fly over to Vermilion City. This is quite a flight, which will land you where you need to be. Talk to the sailor at the pier. He’ll see your ticket and offer to take you to Birth Island.
The Triangle Puzzle
Feeling like a maze to a number of gamers, this is another tricky part. On the island, there’s a small black triangle. You have to interact with it using the shortest possible path. Every time you click it, it moves. If you take too many steps or mess up the pathing while doing so, the puzzle resets.
The Chase
Keep clicking on it until the triangle turns a bright red and starts vibrating. Once it’s “maxed out,” you can interact with it one last time.
The Battle
Deoxys will descend from the sky at Level 30. Yes, this is the level requirement. Since it’s in its Attack Form in FireRed, it has a very weak defense. Be careful not to knock it out! Bring a Pokémon with False Swipe and some of Ultra Balls. And soon you’ll have it.
