Over the weekend, BharatPe founder and Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover discussed his future plans to enter politics.
Grover explored a variety of issues during an appearance on Rohan Joshi’s prominent YouTube channel. In response to an inquiry about his future plans, Grover instantly indicated his intention to enter politics, citing his experience as a pioneer in the Indian economy.
“As startup founders, we all have become significant part of the Indian economy, [but] at the political level, we are underrepresented,” said Grover. “At some point of time, I want to get there [politics].”
Aside from the idea of representing a rising segment of the Indian economy that Grover helped establish, he also discussed how he saw politics as a natural next step in his personal path.
When you start a firm, you create a certain number of jobs and have an impact on a certain number of people. “And you should keep doing it” Grover says it’s a very honourable thing to do. “Eventually, this bigger impact at some point of time is by getting into nation building, or doing something meaningful there,” he decided to add.
Grover has recently been embroiled in a series of public quarrels, but he appears to be ready to move on and put this period behind him. As he concluded his interview on the show, he stated that his immediate emphasis was on living life day by day, operating his residence, and purchasing food.
Entrepreneur Ashneer Grover was the breakout’star’ of the first season of Shark Tank India, which recently completed. Ashneer was one of the show’s seven’sharks,’ or entrepreneurs, and his frank demeanour and direct feedback to candidates won him followers.
The co-founder of BharatPe rapidly rose from businessman to superstar. However, there is a drawback to celebrity. His blunt demeanour is also criticised by others, who believe he is unnecessarily unpleasant to the contestants.
