We just got an update on the future of Battlefield 6, revealing some exciting new details about the 2021 episode. With this unveiling, we finally have confirmation that Battlefield 2021 will only be available for the next-Gen consoles.

With this announcement, we understand that this year’s Battlefield title will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X consoles. While Battlefield may not be released on Xbox One and PS4 in 2021, it is rumored to be available on PS3, PlayStation Vita, PS Vita, and PlayStation 3 Passes as well as on the Xbox 360. Battlefield 6 will be released on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One soon.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will reportedly be inferior, have graphics downgrades, no longer offer advanced features, support resource-intensive game modes, and have graphics downgrades. Nevertheless, there is the possibility that Battlefield 6 will also be available on consoles of the previous generation. The next Battlefield game is currently being developed and it has been confirmed that it will take full advantage of the Next-Gen consoles.

With many people still struggling to buy a next-gen console until early 2021, it seems unlikely that something like Battlefield will launch on any platform that EA and DICE support, but a new Battlefield (potentially called Battlefield 6) is in development at EA Dice. If it is released for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, it is likely to be a cross-gene title, which, depending on what Dice has in mind for this new battlefield, will make both the PS5 and Xbox X series cross-gene titles.

Battlefield 6

We don’t know much about Battlefield 6 yet, but EA was pleased that the new Battlefield will remain true to the franchise’s next vision, and announced that more will be learned in the coming months. We can expect more details about what EA will expect in terms of gameplay and gameplay mechanics, as well as more information about the future of Battlefield. EA boasted of a “new battlefield on an unprecedented scale,” with rumors suggesting more than 100,000 players and a new multiplayer mode.

Electronic Arts (EA) spoke about the future of the franchise and its plans for the next generation of Battlefield games. Battlefield 6 is the first in a series of new games in the Battlefield series, but players need not worry about it as it will come with a new battlefield, although it would not be limited to a modern one.

So far, DICE and EA have only indicated how incredible the game will look on next-generation PCs and consoles, but the unveiling is scheduled for June, although the exact release date of Battlefield 6 on current-gen consoles remains unknown. If you’re not upgrading to consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this massive update from EA is expected to be a huge amount of excitement.

EA confirmed that the number of players per game on next-gen consoles would be higher, and so Battlefield will be more competitive than previous Battlefield games on current-generation consoles. As Wilson said in the conference call, it could be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as early as next year. So will Battlefield be able to appear on the last generation consoles such as PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One?

Battlefield 6

Next – the processing power of Gen also means that Battlefield’s all-out destruction looks and feels better. All 11 main combat games will be played on the latest generation consoles, with the exception of Battlefield 4, Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 6, and the upcoming Battlefield 7.

While Battlefield 6 has been the front runner so far, a recent rumor from insider Tom Henderson suggested that the game could simply be called Battlefield. We last wanted to unveil it in June, but EA rowed back a little and offered a trailer for the highly anticipated shooter. EA offered a little treat during the VGC (EA’s investor talk), but it’s still a long way from the trailer.

CEO Andrew Wilson expressed optimism for both versions of the game and praised the efforts of EA and DICE so far. We may have forgotten a more solid release date, but the publisher has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will be available for current and next-generation consoles as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After EA Dice has confirmed that a new battlefield will be unveiled soon and more information will come in June, it shouldn’t be long before we learn more about it and get involved. In the meantime, we’ve gathered all the news and rumors about Battlefield 5, and if you want to know more, read on.
