23 February, 2016, Gurgaon: First Eat, a Gurgaon based food technology startup has managed to raise US $200K seed funding from an undisclosed F&B entrepreneur In Gurgaon. The startup provides healthy organic meal to its customers.
Founded by Mannat Wadehra, Rishabh Tickoo, Saikat Bagchi and Shitiz Dogra in 2015, it serves food to its users on demand as well as on subscription basis through its Android and iOS app. The raised amount will be utilised in company’s expansion in Delhi NCR region and to enhance its marketing strategies. Apart from that, it will be spending a part of funding for innovating and building product technology.
Company claims that till now it has reached 5000 downloads and receives 80-100 meal orders daily. First Eat plans expand its reach to 400-500 meals per day by 2016. “Our proposition is fairly simple; know what you need, have what you need and let us take care of it,” said Wadehra.
Prior to this, NDTV Ecommerce’s venture, SmartCooky, raised and undisclosed amount of funding from VLCC founder Vandana Luthra.
