Bengaluru, Nov 2 (PTI) : Homegrown e-commerce giant Flipkart today said it has appointed Ravi Krishnaswamy and Sharat Singh as vice presidents.

Krishnaswamy will hold the position as Vice President of Engineering for Infrastructure and Singh as Vice President of Engineering for Content.

Krishnaswamy comes with an extensive experience of over two decades in designing and developing enterprise and cloud scale platforms as well as in leading teams through technical, engineering and management excellence, the company said in a release.

It said as VP of Engineering for Infrastructure, he would focus on strengthening operations across IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PAAS (Platform as a Service) and for understanding and address the current challenges pertaining to organisation design & bandwidth.

Flipkart said in the newly assumed role as VP of Engineering for Content, Sharat Singh will lead the CMS Engineering team which includes CMS Data Management, Quality, Content Relevance, Development and Creation.

It said he will drive technical strategy for content to transform user experience and shape how customers purchase products on the Flipkart app.

Sharat joins Flipkart from MakeMyTrip where he was the Chief Technology Officer – international & platforms.
