31st July 2015, Mumbai: Gloob Décor with its latest acquisition of Banana Interactive, now plans to further its vision of becoming a market leader in Augmented Reality enabled interior designing.
Banana Interactive, a self funded gaming and application development startup now spearheads the Visual App Development vertical at Gloob. The acquisition gives wings to the vision of developing a cutting edge application for interior designers, retailers and end customers to visualize their furniture or furnishing buy in high quality 3-d enviroments matching their spaces.
Mrinal Sharma, Partner, Gloob Decor added, “Gloob envisions the idea of combining cutting edge hardware with technology enabled applications to create Special Experience Zones for retail showrooms, wherein customer can design their desired furniture by selecting each modular element and see it projected on a wall with real objects like bookshelf, vase, center table etc. to get an accurate feel of the space. BI team brings with them a valuable skill set of gamification of this experience and thus we are very excited about this development.”
Ritesh Ranjan, Co-Founder Banana Interactive remarked, “In future such functionalities will have Augmented Reality wherein people will be able to view objects in 360 degree format in their home environment and making structural changes to the objects.”
