Medlife which is a health care tech platform has now acquired the Mumbai based digital healthcare platform and home diagnostics service company MedLabz for an undisclosed amount of firm.

“The sophisticated diagnostic capabilities offered by MedLabz will help us strengthen our position in the diagnostics segment. In diagnostics alone, we have so far served 90,000 unique customers till date with over 150,000 deliveries,” said Tushar Kumar, Medlife co-founder, and chief executive.

The company which is founded by the Prashant Singh and Kumar in 2014, Medlife started with the online drug delivery and diversified into the online consultation and the laboratory service as well.

Singh and Kumar also run the Tulip Pvt Ltd, which is a company that makes the allopathic and herbal medicines. Moreover, Kumar comes from the pharmaceutical background and was briefly involved with the drugmaker Alkem Laboratories.

MedLabz was founded by the IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay Graduates in 2015. The company offers the artificial intelligence based engine, provides patients and corporate health with insights in the vernacular languages, with the data from the diagnostics, doctor consultation, and diet consultation.

Medlife said that the technology integration from the medLabs will help the company to offers the patients with the data inside the preferred language, besides enabling them to view the reports online, with the mobile application and even on WhatsApp. With this acquisition, Medlife will also launch the sample collection at home with an in house fleet of the medical professionals.
