The Bone Blockade puzzle is the first challenge in the Daily Puzzles event in Clash Royale. Introduced during the King vs. King Season in November 2026, this challenge tests your ability to defend against an incoming enemy attack using only two available cards.

Although the puzzle is marked as Easy, it can be surprisingly tricky if you do not understand how the enemy troops behave. You have to stop a Knight and a Hog Rider from reaching your Princess Towers, which have only 1 HP remaining. One successful hit is enough to end the challenge.
Fortunately, there is a simple strategy that can help you complete Bone Blockade without wasting too many attempts.
What Is the Bone Blockade Puzzle in Clash Royale?
Bone Blockade is the first Daily Puzzle in Clash Royale’s King vs. King Season. The challenge places you in a defensive situation where an enemy Knight and Hog Rider are approaching your side of the arena.
You are given only two cards to defend yourself:
-
Skeletons: A low-cost troop card that can distract and slow down enemy ground troops.
-
Tesla: A defensive building that can attract enemy troops and deal damage to them.
Your objective is to eliminate both incoming enemies before they can damage your Princess Towers. Since your towers have just 1 HP, you cannot afford to make mistakes.
The puzzle also has a Par score of 3, which represents the target number of attempts for completing it.
How to Beat the Bone Blockade Puzzle
The easiest way to complete this challenge is to use the Skeletons to distract the Knight while positioning the Tesla to pull the Hog Rider into the range of both Princess Towers.
Follow these steps:
1. Deploy Skeletons near the left bridge: Wait until the Knight approaches the bridge, then place your Skeletons directly in its path. The Knight will stop to attack them, giving you some extra time to prepare your next move.
2. Allow the Hog Rider to move forward: Do not worry about the Hog Rider ignoring your Skeletons. This is expected because Hog Rider only targets buildings. Let it continue moving towards your side of the arena.
3. Place Tesla in the centre: Deploy your Tesla in the middle of your side of the arena, roughly level with your Princess Towers. Avoid placing it too close to the river or too far towards the left side.
4. Let your towers deal damage: The Tesla will attract the Hog Rider towards the centre, allowing both Princess Towers to attack it alongside your defensive building. This combined damage should eliminate the Hog Rider before it reaches either tower.
5. Finish off the Knight: Once the Hog Rider is defeated, your remaining defensive structures and Princess Towers should have enough damage to eliminate the Knight.
The important part is getting the Tesla placement right. A poorly positioned Tesla might attract the Hog Rider but leave it outside the effective attack range of one of your Princess Towers.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
If you are struggling to complete Bone Blockade, there are a few common mistakes worth checking.
-
Placing Tesla too close to the river: This can pull the Hog Rider away from your Princess Towers, preventing them from dealing enough combined damage.
-
Using Skeletons against the Hog Rider: Skeletons cannot distract the Hog Rider because it prioritises buildings. Use them to keep the Knight occupied instead.
-
Placing Tesla too far to one side: Your objective is to bring the Hog Rider into the range of both Princess Towers. A central placement is important.
-
Deploying Skeletons too late: If the Knight gets past the bridge before you distract it, your defence becomes much harder.
If your first attempt fails, try adjusting the Tesla’s position slightly rather than completely changing your strategy.
What Happens After You Beat Bone Blockade?
Once both enemy troops are eliminated and your Princess Towers remain standing, you will complete the Bone Blockade challenge. You do not need to destroy the opponent’s towers to win.
The puzzle uses a Par score of 3, meaning completing it within three attempts meets the target. You can also compare your completion attempts with other players.
The Daily Puzzles feature is designed to test your understanding of card interactions, troop targeting and defensive positioning. Bone Blockade is a good example of how even two inexpensive cards can stop a dangerous attack when used correctly.
