Pokémon GO Twitch Drops let you earn special rewards by watching Pokémon broadcasts on Twitch. The broadcast must have an active Drop campaign, and you must complete its viewing goal.
What Are Pokémon GO Twitch Drops?
Twitch Drops are rewards linked to streams. Pokémon GO mainly uses them during major events, competitions, celebrations, and broadcasts. Each campaign has its own reward and watch-time requirement, so details can change between events.
Link Your Accounts First
Before watching a qualifying broadcast, connect your Pokémon Trainer Club account to Twitch through the Pokémon Rewards website. This allows the reward system to identify the Pokémon GO account that should receive your reward.
- Sign in to your Pokémon Trainer Central account.
- Select the option to link your Twitch account.
- Sign in to Twitch and authorize the connection.
- Confirm that the accounts are linked.
If your accounts are already linked, you generally do not need to repeat the setup.
Find A Stream With Drops Enabled
Watch an eligible Pokémon broadcast on Twitch. Official Pokémon and Pokémon GO channels are commonly used.
Look for a stream with Twitch Drops enabled. Watching an ordinary Pokémon GO livestream does not guarantee progress. The campaign must be active, and you must be signed into Twitch.
Before watching, check the event announcement for the correct channel, required viewing time, available rewards, and redemption deadline.
Watch For The Required Time
Stay on the qualifying broadcast until you reach its required viewing time. Some Pokémon GO campaigns have used 30-minute milestones, while others have offered extra rewards after longer viewing periods.
Twitch tracks your progress automatically. Twitch may pause progress if the stream is minimized or stops treating you as an active viewer.
Claim The Drop On Twitch
Reaching the required watch time does not necessarily finish the process. You normally need to claim the Drop after completing the milestone.
A notification may appear in Twitch, allowing you to select Claim. You can also open your Twitch Drops Inventory and claim the reward there.
Earning progress and claiming the Drop are separate steps. An unclaimed reward may become unavailable after its campaign ends.
Get Your Pokémon GO Code
Many Pokémon GO Twitch campaigns use a code-based redemption system. After claiming your Drop, open the Pokémon Rewards page and sign in. Go to your Drop Inventory, find the reward, and choose the option to show the code.
Copy the code carefully. Codes normally have an expiration date and may only be redeemable once, so redeem yours promptly.
Redeem The Reward
Take the displayed code to the Pokémon GO offer redemption page and sign in with a supported login connected to your game account. Enter the code and confirm the redemption.
The eligible items or research should then be added to your Pokémon GO account. If the reward does not appear immediately, restart the game and check again.
Players who use Pokémon Trainer Club as their only login should note that web offer-code redemption may require another linked login provider.
Common Twitch Drop Problems
If your progress is not moving, check these points:
- Make sure the campaign is active.
