Mastering the Assault class in Battlefield 6 not only makes you a stronger player but also unlocks valuable rewards like gadgets, subclass paths, and signature weapons. To help you achieve full completion, this guide takes you step by step through unlocking and finishing every Assault class challenge. Follow this where every sentence counts — some long, some short — and your grind will be much easier.

Before you can even begin working on them, you must reach Rank 20 in multiplayer. Only at that level do “Class Assignments / Challenges” become available.
Once unlocked, the Assault class has its own path of three stages (sometimes referred to as Assignment 1, Assignment 2, and Expert 1) that you must complete in sequence.
You cannot make progress toward these unless you actively play as the Assault class — no cross-class credit. (If you play Engineer or Recon, those actions don’t count for Assault progression.)
Stage 1: Assignment Assault (Tier 1)
In this first stage, the tasks are relatively basic and designed to get you familiar with Assault’s core role and gadgets. Below is a typical list of objectives (note: the exact numbers may differ slightly depending on updates):
- Earn a set amount of score playing as Assault
- Get a certain number of kills while using the Adrenaline Injector (your signature gadget)
- Perform “objective play” tasks (for example, capturing, defending, or contesting control points)
Tips for completing Stage 1:
- Equip your Adrenaline Injector in each match and try to stay active — use it often so kill counts with it count.
- Choose game modes with many objectives (e.g. Conquest, Breakthrough). This gives more chances to help capture or defend.
- Be aggressive but smart: as Assault, you’re expected to push forward — but don’t charge blindly without support.
- Use weapons you’re comfortable with so you can secure kills reliably, helping reach the kill quotas faster.
Once you finish all objectives in Stage 1, you unlock a gadget reward (for Assault) — the Deploy Beacon — a spawn point for your squad.
Stage 2: Assignment Assault 2 (Tier 2)
The second stage raises the bar. Objectives usually include:
- Earn more score as Assault
- Get extra kills while using the Adrenaline Injector
- Additional objective-based tasks (e.g. more captures, defenses, or contest kills)
Completing Stage 2 unlocks the Frontliner Training Path for Assault. This gives you new perks such as improved health regen, reduced fall damage, and buffs tied to your Deploy Beacon.
Suggested approach:
- Stick with your squad. Deploying on a teammate helps push in with more safety, enabling more kills and objective captures.
- Use the Deploy Beacon you unlocked wisely: place it in forward positions (but not too exposed) so your squad can spawn close to action.
- Choose fights where your gadget (Adrenaline Injector) can be used just before engagements — it improves your chances in a fight.
After finishing Stage 2, you gain access to the Frontliner path and better tactical flexibility.
Stage 3: Assault Expert 1 (Tier 3 / Expert Challenge)
This is the final and most demanding stage. The objectives here are more challenging; for example:
- Get 50 kills while contesting objectives as Assault
- Earn a high amount of score overall in Assault matches
Completing this Expert challenge unlocks the SS26 incendiary shotgun gadget, usable only by Assault. This weapon is particularly potent, as it causes targets and the environment to burn.
Key tactics to succeed in Expert stage:
- Focus on contested zones — those enemy objectives or points where fights are active. Getting kills there satisfies the “contest kills” requirement.
- Use high-damage gear and tactics (grenades, breaching tools) to swing fights fast.
- Team up: being near allies gives you more support and survivors, which helps you stay in action.
- Play modes with many players and objectives (e.g. large maps, big team modes); more conflict = more contest kill chances.
