Do the Trades
The first thing for you to do is to finish two specific base-game side quests. For this, give a Pikachu to the NPC in Side Mission 2 and a Raichu to the NPC near the Quasartico building in Side Mission 108. This will do it!
Find the Wormhole
As the next step, Head to the North Lumiose City shopping district. Look for a Hyperspace Zone, which is a shimmering purple portal that only appears after you’ve finished the main story. You can easily locate it.
Start the Side Mission 139
Enter the portal to find the NPCs you came across earlier. They will now challenge you to a high-level double battle called “The Dauntless Raichu Duo.” You’ve got to accept it, and then comes something more.
