Unlocking the Duchess
To access the Duchess, players must complete the Tricephalos Expedition, which becomes available shortly after the tutorial. During this mission, defeating the Nightlord boss yields an Old Pocketwatch. Presenting this item to the Priestess at the Roundtable Hold triggers a cutscene, after which the Duchess becomes playable. Her agility and evasion make her a top-tier choice for players seeking a swift and stealthy approach.
Unlocking the Revenant
The Revenant, a support-focused Nightfarer, requires a more intricate process to unlock:
- Obtain the Duchess: Ensure the Duchess is unlocked, as she is a prerequisite for accessing the Revenant.
- Purchase the Besmirched Frame: Visit the Small Jar Bazaar in the west wing of the Roundtable Hold and buy the Besmirched Frame relic for 1,500 Murk.
- Interact with the Phantom: After acquiring the relic, a phantom appears in the east wing. Interacting with it transports the player to a tutorial area.
- Defeat the Night Idol: In this area, players face the Night Idol and her three summoned spirits: Helen the Page, Frederick the Pumpkin Head, and Sebastian the Giant Skeleton. It’s advisable to eliminate the summons individually before confronting the Night Idol.
