21 May 2016, MUMBAI: Online peer-to-peer lending platform, i2ifunding.com raised funds from a group of angel investors for an undisclosed amount. The company has planned to utilize the capital for expansion of technology and also for increasing its geographical presence.
According to sources and reports by HT Media, co-founder of i2ifunding, Vaibhav Pandey said “Our mission is to help the borrower’s access the loans for various needs at lower than market rates and at the same time provide an alternative high return investment option to retail investors”.
“This investment could not have come at a better time as RBI said about Rs. 2 crore capital requirement for P2P players in the concept paper recently released for regulating P2P lending platforms in India, and this funding would mean that we would be able to clear this requirement easily”, he added.
i2ifunding is a Mumbai based online peer-to-peer lending platform. The company was founded in 2015 by Vaibhav Pandey and Manisha Bansal. i2ifunding plans to offer its services in 20 cities by next one year.
