Herkey (formerly JobsForHer) was founded to enable women to restart their careers after a break, and it has since evolved to now support women at every phase of their work life. With a thriving community of 3.5 million women, 10,000+ companies, and 800+ learning partners, Herkey serves as a dynamic platform connecting women with suitable job opportunities across all levels. Additionally, it offers valuable learning opportunities for upskilling and reskilling, ensuring women remain competitive in their fields. HerKey fosters communities for professional networking, creating a nurturing environment for women to flourish. Whether it’s Women Returnees, Women in Tech, Women in Leadership, Women Starters, or Women Entrepreneurs, Herkey’s all-encompassing approach makes it a companion for women’s career success at every step of their professional journey.
2. Tell us about how is technology playing a major role in HerKey’s journey?
HerKey has pioneered the development of a scalable online marketplace in India, by leveraging technology to connect millions of women to employers, experts, and each other. By harnessing technologies like AI/ML, deep learning, and a robust tech architecture, we offer an exceptional user experience. Our in-house recommendation engine ensures personalized user experiences throughout the platform. Moreover, we employ technology to build diverse learning verticals, catering to a wide range of interests and knowledge areas. Furthermore, we utilize technology to assist our partners, which encompass businesses, educational collaborators, and mentors, in effectively connecting with the appropriate audience and fulfilling their distinct requirements.
3. What are the tools embedded in the development of the application?
As AI/ML is core to our platform, our application is thoughtfully developed by our in-house team, by combining technologies (React, Python, MySQL & Mongo) to create a comprehensive and advanced application for the users. The platform is built on Microservices Architecture, Super Responsive React Application for both Mobile & Web. We are also partnering with AWS & Microsoft Azure to leverage the latest & greatest technology for AI/ML.
4. What does the HerKey tech stack comprise of?
We have an extensive recommendation engine to provide a personalized experience to our users throughout the user journey on the platform. HerKey is also involved in setting up cloud infrastructure with SaaS (Software as a Service), leveraging MongoDB and MySQL. This infrastructure involves utilizing cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure to host and manage the databases. These cutting-edge technologies enhance the effectiveness and personalization of nudges, resulting in higher user engagement and improved outcomes.
5. What is the tech roadmap for the HerKey Platform in India?
We are building a platform where the community comes first and will scale from the current 3.5 million women to over 30 million women within 5 years. With solid tech architecture at our core, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional user experience. Our team excels in DevOps and specializes in seamless data migration and partner integration. We are also committed to building diverse learning verticals, ensuring that our platform caters to a wide range of interests and knowledge areas. We aim to revolutionize the way communities connect and learn.
6. How AI can revolutionize HR landscape?
The widespread impact of AI will significantly change employment dynamics. Through a well-planned strategy, companies can capitalize on the expanding AI tools market, which helps mitigate biases in areas like recruitment, employee retention, and promotions. This could contribute to the progress of women into leadership positions, coupled with the utilization of AI and related resources to alleviate the unequal challenges faced by women.
7. Is this technology developed in-house? How big is the tech team at HerKey?
Our entire technology is developed in-house. HerKey boasts of a strong tech team and we are currently in the process of hiring and expanding our team. By the end of the year, our tech team will consist of over 50 members.
