Bengaluru-based ethnic wear marketplace Indofash has raised $146,000 in funding from Shekhar Sahu and Nitesh Pant, techcircle reported.
Founded by Pallavi Mohadikar and IIT Bombay alumnus Rahul Gayakwad in April last year, the company plans to utilize the funds for business expansion.
Indofash is a retailer of women ethnic wear. It brands unorganized natural fabric arts under one umbrella. Indofash is synonymous with authentic regional specialties and is one stop shop to buy bagru prints, tassar & eri silk, kanjivaram silk, paithani and many more. And in the process give due credit to the artisans!
The company claims it gets 15,000 to 18,000 unique visitors every day and 80,000 page views on the website. “We are doing more than 100 transactions every day and 50% of them are international orders,” said Mohadikar. “We are growing at 55% month on month since we have raised funds.”
