Greenizon Agritech Consultancy Pvt Ltd, which is a Mumbai based company that also operates Jai Kisan, a lending platform for the farmer community has now secured $1.5 Million in the funding round of seed led by the Blume Ventures.
Some other investors who participated in this round include the Mumbai based early-stage investment firms Astarc Ventures and Prophetic Ventures and the UK based investment firm Better capital, according to the report which has been revealed.
The company will now use the fund to increase the size of its loan book, tie up with the more lending channel partners and institutions, expand into the new regions, and to even acquire new customers and grow its team.
“Most startups operating in rural India believe in disrupting the status quo. We don’t believe economic and social impact can be achieved by displacing the traditional stakeholders,” said Arjun Ahluwalia, founder, and CEO of Jai Kisan.
The Adriel Maniego and Ahluwalia founded the company. It offers loans to farmers for buying the equipment, fertilizers, chemical nutrients, and seedlings.
