The new version of the Polestar 2 BST was revealed through a video recently. More details are going to be revealed on March 21. It appears to be the  2024 version of the vehicle. CEO Thomas Ingenlath said in a tweet, “Very soon: Next edition of our Polestar 2.”

Polestar then said that “Something trilling is about to be unleashed on March 21,” teasing the front end of the vehicle with a beautiful gold brake caliper. In late February, the Swedish automaker said that the 2024 version of the car would be its best yet. “We’re constantly searching for new ways to improve our cars,” the automaker said, hinting toward new batteries for longer range and faster charging and various improvements that will help with performance and feel.

However, we can see in the video that Polestar and Ingenlath shared that the Polestar 2 is equipped with a racing stripe down the middle, which many believe could be the newest version of the vehicle’s BST model, or “Beast.” Polestar launched the initial version of the Polestar 2 BST edition 270 last year. Only 270 cars would be produced worldwide, and registration for the vehicle actually closed last year as there was overwhelming interest in the high-performance vehicle.

Features

The Polestar 2 BST features various upgrades from the standard iterations of the vehicle. These include Öhlins 2-way adjustable dampers for highly-refined hands-on tuning, 21-inch Gloss Black Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels specifically designed for the BST edition of the car, a Performance Software Upgrade, and an aluminum strut bar for steering precision, rigidity, and balance. Perhaps the biggest hint that we have that this teaser is the BST version of the Polestar 2 is the gold brake calipers, which appear to be identical to the ones detailed in the initial BST announcement late last year.

Perhaps production or deliveries of the Polestar 2 BST Edition are going to be announced on the 21st, but we’ll have to wait for the company’s official announcement in just a few days’ time. Based on the already powerful and responsive Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor, the BST edition 270 pushes the envelope even further. It features a set of finely tailored and meticulously tuned upgrades focused on handling and performance. Unique to the BST edition 270 and equipped with custom-engineered Pirelli tires, the 21” Gloss Black Diamond Cut Forged Alloy Wheels pair a powerful look with optimal steering response, stability, and road contact. Each Polestar 2 BST edition 270 is hand-finished to exact specifications, using select, zero-tolerance performance parts.  Only 270 cars will be produced worldwide.
