Cab sharing firm Ola announced today, that they will expand their operations to UK. The company said in a statement that it has obtained licences to run in South Wales and Manchester regions. The company will launch operations in South Wales in coming months.
The company added, it will be the only ride-hailing app in the UK to offer passengers the option of Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs) and Black Cabs through one app, which will see additional transportation options being incorporated in the future.
The company is working with local authorities across the UK to expand nationwide by end of 2018, the statement added.

We look forward to our continued engagement with policymakers and regulators as we expand across the country and build a company embedded in the UK,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Ola.
This is the second time when Ola has decided to enter in any international market. The firm launched its operations in Australia. It offers its services in seven major cities – Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra and Adelaide.
