PhonePe partners with OYO, allows users to book OYO Rooms on it’s platform

11 October 2018, India:

PhonePe, today announced that it has partnered with OYO Rooms.  As a part of this partnership, users will be able to book OYO Rooms through the PhonePe app.

“OYO is one of the fastest growing unicorns in India that has transformed hotel and room bookings for Indian travellers. We are excited to have them as one of our early partners to build an open payments ecosystem, connecting our partners and PhonePe users. The tie-up would enable all our users to access OYO’s quality offerings across 160 cities in India while maintaining the convenience and security of their payments through PhonePe,” said Rituraj Rautela, Head In-App Platform, PhonePe.

“OYO Hotels is committed to its mission of creating beautiful living spaces and while driving hassle-free experience for travelers through a seamless booking and payment process. We have been consistently working towards providing best in class hotel experiences to our consumers across the country. This partnership with PhonePe will help us reach new customers while enhancing the experience of our existing user-base,” said Burhanuddin Pithawala, VP – Conversions, OYO Hotels.

As a part of partnership, PhonePe users can reserve a room at any OYO hotel in India by paying a token amount of ₹99 upfront and paying the remaining amount later at the hotel.
