20 December 2016, India:

Matrimonial site Shaadi.com has acquired Delhi-based mobile dating app Frivil. The amount was not disclosed by either of the companies. Products, intellectual property rights and brand of Frivil will become part of People Interactive- the parent company of Shaadi.com as per techcircle report.

“We’ve been fortunate to have Shaadi.com as an investor in our company at a very early stage. They’ve helped guide us and provide assistance in more ways than one along the way. We now look forward to assisting Shaadi.com with the transition of our products into their portfolio,” Israel said in a statement.

Founded in 1996, Shaadi.com, the world’s oldest and most successful matchmaking service, has been trusted by people all over the world to help them find their soulmates. Many people have met their life partners through the matchmaking service and countless others have made some very special friends.
