Google Startup Weekend 2016 is all set to take place in the College of Engineering, Guindy from 19th February 2016 to 21st February 2016.
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. You can view this video to see how it works.
Our goal is to create an environment where passionate people can come together to learn, network, bridge the gap between trades, expose their potential and obtain the results they deserve. Startup Weekend had been held across 135+ countries and we are looking forward to making it big in Chennai.
This time Kurukshetra team is extremely happy to host Startup Weekend Chennai edition as a part of the Kurukshetra, an International Techno Management Festival of CEG conducted under the coveted patronage of UNESCO.
In addition to Kurukshetra, this year, Startup Weekend is also collaborating with CEG’s Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and Capitalize.
How does Startup Weekend work?
We aim to bring together enthusiasts like you to share ideas, form teams, build products and most importantly, launch startups.
Schedule
Friday: Attendees pitch their ideas and inspire others to join their teams. Teams are therefore created to work on the best ideas.
Saturday and Sunday: This is where you debate, build, pitch and build some more. Teams will focus on building a prototype of their idea (or) product.
Sunday – evening: Teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from our panel of experts.
Who can Participate ?
Coders and Nerds who can code with speed and skill.
Domain experts and Business guys who feel the pulse of the trending market.
Designers with strong aesthetics and UI, UX skills.
Hustlers who can drive the project and can pitch their idea with passion looking to build a fantastic team around their idea.
