19 December, 2015, New Delhi: Uber, cab service provider app has spread its wings in four more cities of India. Now, companyās services are available in Ajmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Mangalore. With this launch, company is now available in 26 cities across the nation.
In its earlier move, company has signed an MoU with Rajasthan Government in November. According to the MoU, Uber will provide 35,000 new entrepreneurship opportunities, contribute to technology-related skills training and smart city initiatives and a commitment to launch its ride-sharing service in the state. However, with the launch in Mangalore, the company has completed its third successful launch in Karnataka state.
According to the statement released by Gagan Bhatia, GM, Uber India (North), “Since our launch in Jaipur in August 2014, we’ve got great feedback and support from our riders, with a growing demand in other cities, we are looking forward to mobilize the skilled labour market by providing thousands of entrepreneurship opportunities on our platform.”
