9 February, 2016, Mumbai: Weddingz.in has acquired an undisclosed funding from Sixth Sense Ventures. The company which deals in providing an online platform to wedding vendors and services has acquired its second funding in less than two months.

The raised funding will be utilised in developing its technology and automation and strengthening its team, stated company in an official statement. “We are also looking at getting into newer categories like decor, honeymoon packages, and enhance our customers experience by technology development like making virtual tours of venues on the website possible,” said Sandeep Lodha, founder and chief executive of Weddingz.in.

The company enables its consumers to check and shortlist wedding venues, get assistance from its relationship managers and many more such facilities. Apart from that, it also equips the customers to opt for the affordable deals as well as choose the feature of destination weddings through its platform.

Speaking about the investment, Swati Mehra, Partner – Investments, Sixth Sense Ventures opined, “Convenience of a one-stop shop for all wedding related services ‘at the best rates’, makes Weddingz.in an ideal platform for couples. Further sophistication and transparency to all stakeholders, disrupts the way the industry is structured.”
