Technology-enabled logistics start-up Rivigo has ordered 1,200 medium and heavy commercial vehicles from Ashok Leyland.
Rivigo Founder and Chief Executive Officer Deepak Garg today said, “This order is a testimony of our commitment to offer the best in services and thus create value for our customers.”
Rivigo aims to deliver reliability through networking and provide transparency to clients. It was Founded in 2014, It has been disrupting the sector, with unique operational model and cutting edge technology, to consistently provide unparalleled delivery times to clients.
Against the average distance of 15 km per hour by the industry, Rivigo’s technological and operational innovations have ensured that their truck covers 40 km or more in an hour. This enables to provide the fastest services, on Indian road conditions, overcoming delays at numerous checkpoints across 29 states in the country.
Ashok Leyland is an Indian automobile manufacturing company based in Chennai, India. Founded in 1948, it is the 2nd largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and 16th largest manufacturer of trucks globally.
According to a statement, the purchase of the 1200 additional vehicles means it will grow Rivigo’s fleet size by 80% to 2700 vehicles in the next 6-7 months.
