G. Padmanabhan, Former Executive Director Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has joined Bengaluru-based gift card provider Qwikcilver Solutions Pvt. Ltd as the company’s strategic adviser.

Mr G. Padmanabhan said, “Qwikcilver is the front runner in the gift card industry in India and it gives me immense pleasure to work together in chalking out the strategic path on its robust growth story ahead.”

“This would give me an unparalleled opportunity to work with the ambitious and energetic team who are trying to scaling the comprehensive Prepaid gifting eco-system in India,” he added.

Mr Kumar Sudarsan, founder & director, Qwikcilver said, “We are pleased to welcome Mr G. Padmanabhan as a strategic Advisor to Qwikcilver. We strongly believe his invaluable experience in the Prepaid domain and his decades of expertise would drive greater growth and success for our company.”

Padmanabhan has thirty six years of experience working in the banking and payments sector. Besides mandating the measures for the security and safety of transaction, he is also responsible for enabling many innovations in the Indian payment system, including prepaid cards, digital wallets, etc.

As part of the advisory board, Padmanabhan will advise Qwikcilver on strategic direction, product guidance from a regulatory view point, and towards strengthening the corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk management processes, the company said.
