Start Tel Aviv

13 August 2016, India :

The Embassy of Israel in partnership with TIE Delhi-NCR organized today the ‘Start Tel Aviv – India Finals’, to find two Indian women founded startups who will travel in September to Israel.

The Indian winner’s Advenio (Mausumi Acharyya) & XLPAT Labs (Komal Talwar), will travel to Israel and will have the opportunity to meet the smartest and the most innovative companies, techies, startups, designers, artists, scientists, investors, and cultural drivers from Israel and abroad.

Israel’s Ambassador to India, Mr. Daniel Carmon who awarded the winners stressed the important role that women can and should play in all sectors and noted that his own political team at the embassy is comprised of women. “I take pride in working with these ‘diplomatic entrepreneurs’ as my very professional and creative partners”.

Start Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest international Hi-tech gathering, it will feature hundreds of startups, VC’s, angel investors and leading multinationals. Thousands of interactions are expected to take place in order to create opportunities for up and coming startups and entrepreneurs from around the world in the field of technology.

Israel, known as Startup Nation, through its human capital, generates more startup companies than other nation around the world. In addition, Israel attracts over twice as much venture capital investment per capita as the US and EU combined.
