One of India’s leading consumer health platform 1mg has acquired Varanasi-based startup Dawailelo for an undisclosed amount as per the report by ET.
Dawailelo was founded in 2013 by Aditya Agrawal and Arpit Sarin and it has been operating in Varanasi and recently began expanding to other cities.
Sequoia Capital-backed 1mg enables consumers to learn more about their medicines and also find more cost-effective substitutes. 1mg’s doctor platform aims to revolutionize how a consumer finds the right healthcare professional for his needs. It’s diagnostics service brings transparency and price-effectiveness to lab tests.

“We are very keen on building a pan-India presence rapidly,” said Prashant Tandon, CEO of Gurgaon-based 1mg, which is pushing to expand operations in tier-II and -III cities. “The team at Dawailelo has done a great job understanding the requirements of the customers and has created a unique model that has shown great promise for tier II and III cities.”
