Online styling platform for women, 20dresses has secured $1 million in seed round of funding. The round was led by Srinivas Aluri, MD at Morgan Stanley, Srinivas Modukury, ex-Lehman Brothers executive and BS Nagesh, founder of Trust for Retailers.
The funds are expected to be used for technology, infrastructure, as well as for hiring talent.
The company is based out of Mumbai and was started by Sumant Kasliwal in 2012.
20Dresses is an exclusive members only site where members can get a stylist setting up their personal showroom. These products are picked up keeping in mind the members tastes. All members need to answer a certain questions when they register on the site. The site then creates a personal profile for each member. The company also has its private label products across apparel, accessories, bags and shoes categories.
The company is said to deliver across 700 locations in India.
