Mauritius-based high net worth individuals (HNIs) backed Modasta, a multi-lingual health content portal and queries platform by funding $1.5mn. Modasta consist team of passionate and enthusiastic people in the digital and healthcare industry who have come together to provide access to quality health information to every individual, even in the most remote regions of our country.
Bikram Barman, CEO, Modasta said, “We offer content across subjects like lifestyle diseases, mental health, women’s health, men’s health and pediatrics, among others, across languages.”
The company covers a range of health-related content, curated by Indian doctors, across five regional languages–Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam–along with English. The startup caters to the audience through articles and videos.
The health-content startup was formed by former Accenture and Yahoo executive Bikram Barman and his wife Dr Geethanjali Barman, along with IIM alumnus Pankaj Pandey.
The funds will be utilized for business growth, technology upgradation, talent acquisition and marketing outreach activities.
