According to RoC (Registrar of Companies) filings, co-founder of Indian e-Commerce giant Flipkart, Binny Bansal has stepped down as director from the board of logistics startup BlackBuck.

Binny Bansal was appointed as Director at the baord of logistics startup in October.

According to reports, Flipkart’s director of corporate development, Sankalp Gupta has replaced Binny Bansal. Bansal has cited personal reasons for stepping down.

Flipkart took part in BlackBuck’s Series B funding round in December 2015. In that round the startup raised $25 million. Before that the BlackBuck raised $ 5 million in Series A funding round. And after that in March 2017, in Series C funding round the logistics startup raised $70 million.

Recently, the logistics startup strengthened its top management with some important appointments. Dinesh Ajmera has appointed as new CTO (Chief Technology Officer). Before this Dinesh Ajmera was executive at e-tailer Souq. (Souq has been acquired by Amazon).

BlackBuck was founded by Rajesh Yabaji, Chanakya Hridaya and Ramasubramanian B in 2015. The startup aims to build an online marketplace platform for freight where shippers and fleet operators can engage seamlessly. It is solving some of the core problems in the areas such as price discovery, route optimization, in-transit tracking and timely delivery assurance.

Ever since the inception in 2015, BlackBuck has been empowering numerous shippers and fleet operators to optimally utilize their potential to achieve maximum results. The company is focused towards bringing a positive impact across the freight ecosystem that encompasses and stitches together countless livelihoods.

The startup is operated by Zinka Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd. Asian Paints, Unilever, Coke, Britannia, Godrej, Marico, Jyothy Laboratories and EIS Parry are major customers of BlackBuck.
