07 December 2016, India :

Amazon India has invested whopping Rs. 160 crore in its wholesale business cart- AmazonBusiness according to ET report.

The online marketplace’s wholesale arm, AmazonBusiness is a members-only B2B website that has been specifically designed for businesses including small offices, entrepreneurs, department stores, kirana stores, drugstores, clinics, hospitals, hotels, and restaurants. As a member, you can purchase thousands of items, including business supplies and products for resale, at wholesale prices and in bulk quantities.

Amazon India spokesperson told ET, “We continue to invest in India as part of our long-term commitment but we do not comment on specific details of our investments.”

Amazon India seeks to build the most customer-centric online destination for customers to find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online by giving them more of what they want – vast selection, low prices, fast and reliable delivery, and a trusted and convenient experience; and provide sellers with a world-class e-commerce platform.

The marketplace is operated by Amazon Seller Services Private Ltd, an affiliate of Amazon.com, Inc.
