Awign, which is an internship and part-time work platform, has now secured $4 million in the funding round of Series A from the Susan Dell Foundation, Eagle10 and Michael.
A returning investor Unitus Seed Fund also participated in the round said the announcement.
The company has secured close to $8 million so far, which includes the current funding round as well, according to the report. The company last secured $3 million from the Lumis Partners in the month of August this year.
The company as of now has a plans to use the funds for developing the product and for sales and marketing channels. It is targeting 10x growths in the next funding round and also plans to make some of the strategic acquisitions.
“Majority of businesses in India, whether traditional or new age, continue to be offline driven, requiring high-touch human intervention at most stages of the value chain. Our strong technology-enabled platform with a unique offering of delivering ‘work’ and not ‘workforce’ has helped us build expertise and win the favour of marquee customers across FMCG, CPG, Retail, BFSI, Telecom, Ecommerce and Mobility sectors,” said Gurpreet Singh, cofounder at Awign.
