As an early-stage startup, every opportunity you get to showcase your brand to a targeted audience of potential investors, partners and customers is invaluable. Making the right connections early on can have a big impact on a company’s efforts to sell, grow and scale.
CIIE’s #PitchTown programme aims to provide startups with just such a platform, to allow startups to connect with local investors and partners for raising capital and catalysing their growth efforts.
Started under under the aegis of IIM Ahmedabad, Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) is a Technology Business Incubator with a mission to provide a platform to early-stage potential startups to connect with us and with experienced local investors.
CIIE supports start-ups from various sectors such as IT, Healthcare, Food and Agri-business, Cleantech, etc. CIIE organises many programmes to support the startup ecosystem, prominent among which are the Power of Ideas, the nation’s largest B-Plan competition, a range of sector-specific and regional accelerators, and corporate-startup connect programmes with leading product corporates.
After their successful 2016 edition, held across Pune, Ahmedabad and Jaipur with an overwhelming response of 450+ applications, from which a cohort of 25 start-ups presented to 120+ investors; they are back with the 2017 edition aimed to be bigger and better.
The current event is, starting with Chennai and will be happening in other cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune. The applications for #PitchChennai are open till June 26, 2017 and the final cohort will be announced on July 7, 2017.
This announcement will be followed by a week of extensive mentoring and pitch practice until the day of the Pitch i.e. July 15, 2017. Both the Partner-Investors and CIIE itself will be looking for potential and interesting startups to invest in.
