9 January, 2016, India: In its recent round of funding, an online train ticket booking platform, Confirm TKT has acquired funding of US $250k from Venture Catalysts. The funding round was headed by Dr. Apoorv Ranjan Sharma, Anirudh Damani, Anand Ladsariya, Sanjay Mehta and Krishna Jhujhunwala.
The officials of the company stated that the raised amount will be utilised in product development, enhancing the technology and hiring new talent. However, apart from aforementioned funding, the sources reviled that the company had also raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Pravin Agarwal and others.
Founded in 2014, the company is an idea of Sripad Vaidya and Dinesh Kumar Kotha. The company claims that it has 500,000 app installed till now with 35,000 active daily users. “Our major focus right now would be on building a solid tech platform which addresses the inefficiencies with trip planning and booking. In the last one-and-a-half years we have incorporated a lot of data which will help us discover many hidden travel itineraries and suggest the best options to the users,” Kotha stated.
