Some of the world biggest internet messaging companies are now hoping to succeed where the cryptocurrency startups have failed by just introducing the mainstream consumers to the world of digital coins.
The internet outfits, which includes the Telegram, Facebook and Signal are planning to roll out the new cryptocurrencies over the couple of years that are also meant to allow the users to send money to contacts on their messaging system like the PayPal or Venmo that can even move to the international borders.
The Facebook project is much more far enough along with the social media networking giant has held conversations with cryptocurrency exchanges about the selling the Facebook coins to the customers.
“It’s pretty much the most fascinating thing happening in crypto right now,” said Eric Meltzer, co-founder of a cryptocurrency-focused venture capital firm, Primitive Ventures. “They each have their own advantage in this battle, and it will be insane to watch it go down.”
