Ola’s electric mobility unit secures $56 million from Tiger Global Management

Ola electric mobility arm now revealed yesterday that it has now secured the $400 Million from some of the ride-hailing platform investors which include the Tiger Global Management and Matrix Partners India.

Ola Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd, is now an independent company is now on a mission of the Electric Programmer revealed last April to launch the 10000 electric vehicles, most of the three-wheelers, and by the end of 2022 going to get 1 million electric vehicles.

The head of the Ola executives Anand Shah and Ankit Jain, Ola Electric Mobility focuses on the battery swapping and deploying charging networks for the commercial electric vehicles segment, the company revealed in a statement.

“The first problem to solve in electric mobility is charging: users need a dependable, convenient, and affordable replacement for the petrol pump,” said Shah, who is the head of Ola Electric Mobility.

Ola had also earlier partnered with the Mahindra & Mahindra, which is the largest manufacturer of the Electric vehicles in the country, to run a pilot project in the city of Nagpur.
