Who can I share Instagram notes with?
For this, you will be dealing with two major options to pick from.
Followers you follow back
This is the broader audience and will have more people in it. It includes anyone who follows your account, and whom you also follow in return. It’s a good choice for things that are not personal or personalized.
Close Friends
This option allows for more private sharing. Here, only the specific individuals you’ve added to your “Close Friends” list will be able to view your Notes. This is perfect for sharing more personal thoughts or inside jokes with your friends, and anything that you think would work with your friends. Here, the limit depends on you!
Steps to hide notes from someone on Instagram
If you still want to keep it hidden from some people, then these steps can be followed –
Share only with your Close Friends
- When you create a Note, you will be asked to tap the audience option.
- Select “Close Friends.”
Doing this will make sure that now, only the people you’ve added to your “Close Friends” list will see your Note. You can manage this list by going to your profile and managing your close friends list.
Restrict the activities of the user on your account
- Go to the profile of the person you want to hide your notes from.
- Now tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Choose “Restrict.”
This will limit their ability to see your notes and interact with your content without doing the tough job of fully blocking them. They won’t be notified that you’ve restricted them, so you can be at ease.
Block the User
- If you want to ensure someone cannot see any of your content, including notes, and cannot interact with you at all, you can block them. This can be done without a single thought if you have noticed shady activity on their part.
- For this, you need to go to their profile, tap the three dots, and select “Block.”
