Can we see who viewed our TikTok video?

Yes, you can, but there’s more to it. Depending on a couple of factors and settings, these things can vary from one account to another. TikTok offers a feature called “Post view history” in your privacy settings. If you enable this, you can see a list of users who have viewed your video in the last seven days in a single list or on a single page. However, it only works if the viewer also has their “Post view history” feature turned on in their account. Thus, you need to check this feature for your account if you want it too. If they have it disabled, or if you have over 5,000 followers, they remain anonymous. So, you’ll see total views, but only a fraction of those viewers might show up by name because of these settings.

Steps to see who viewed your TikTok videos

If you want to see who has viewed your TikTok videos in the past week, then these steps can come in handy.

  • Go to your Profile – Tap the “Profile” icon in the bottom right corner of the TikTok app.
  • Open Settings – Tap the three-line Menu in the top right corner of your screen, then select the option that says “Settings and privacy.”
  • Locate the Privacy Section – Tap on “Privacy.”
  • Find Post Views – Scroll down on the same page until you see the “Post views” or “Viewers” option. Once you find it, tap on it.
  • Toggle It On – Click on the switch to turn on Post view history for your account.
  • Open the Video – Go to a video you recently posted within the last 7 days, as older videos might not be considered for this category.
  • Look for the View Count – Tap the View Count, which is the number of total views in the bottom-left corner of the video screen.
  • View the List – A pop-up window will appear, and if they meet the criteria, it will show you a list of the users who watched your video! Now you can look for all the specific accounts if you are looking for some.

Things to Remember

Here are some things that you can keep in your mind –

Settings Turned On

You can only see viewers who also have this “Post view history” setting turned on, and the rest of them won’t appear on your screen.

Remember the 7-Day Limit

The list is only available for videos posted within the last 7 days. Remember this when choosing a video to see the views.

Most Notable – Follower Cap

If you have more than 5,000 followers, you may not have access to this feature. It only caters to smaller accounts.
