06 May 2016, DELHI: IRCTC makes a huge footprint of stepping ahead by adding international booking option in their list of achievements, thus bringing comfort to international passengers.

According to reports, the service of ticket bookings for international passengers was disclosed jointly by IRCTC, Visa and Atom. Both Visa and Atom are known for their powerful technologies in terms of protecting data and avoiding fraudulent activities while performing an online transaction.

According to Inc42, the chairman and Managing Director of IRCTC – Dr. A.K. Manocha said “Atom has deployed a robust technology and was class from protection mechanism and our technology team has made necessary changes along with them to enable such transactions.”

Atom will charge a service fee of 4% of payment transaction for using International credit or debit cards to complete the transaction.

With the introduction of this service, India will shoot-up heights in global tourism roadmap by allowing hassle-free access and journey for foreign tourists in India.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, popularly known as IRCTC a subsidiary of Indian Railways allowing users to book their train tickets online. Apart from booking train tickets, the e-commerce portal provides services for booking hotels, flights and many other services, thus becoming the most used e-commerce website that allow users to make online reservations in India.
