Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov announced the opening of an NFT museum on his official Twitter account on March 25, where the most notable incidents of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict will be shown.
While Russia uses tanks to destroy Ukraine, we rely on revolutionary blockchain tech. @Meta_History_UA NFT-Museum is launched. The place to keep the memory of war. And the place to celebrate the Ukrainian identity and freedom. Check here: https://t.co/IrNV0w54tg

This appears to be the realization of an idea previously proposed by Alex Bornyakov on March 14 and published by CryptoPotato. The museum, according to Fedorov, would serve as a venue to commemorate “the Ukrainian identity and freedom,” as well as the events of February 24, when Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine.

According to the official website of the NFT Museum, 100% of earnings from NFT sales will go “directly to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine’s official crypto-accounts,” benefiting both Ukrainian servicemen and civilians.
In creating the NFT museum, the goal was to leave an indelible mark on history. Ukraine wants future generations to have a greater understanding of what it was like to live through the struggle and what it meant to the Ukrainian people.
“The formula of each NFT is clear and simple: each token is a real news piece from an official source and an illustration from artists, both Ukrainian and international […] We will never let any single day of this period disappear from the ledger of world history.”
The Warline collection will cost 0.15 ETH (about $468) per NFT, and the assets will be auctioned in the order shown on the timeline. According to Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, the new platform is a “place to keep the memory of battle” and a “celebration of Ukrainian identity and freedom.”
The NFT sale earnings will be transmitted directly to the Ministry of Digital Transformation’s official cryptocurrency accounts, which will be used to support the army and humanitarian aid.
Over $100 million in cryptocurrency donations has poured into the region since the Russian incursion began. The bulk has gone directly to the Ukrainian government, according to data from analytics company Merkle Science. UkraineDAO collected $6.75 million in ETH earlier this month with the sale of an NFT displaying the Ukrainian flag.
In a blog post, Fair said, “NFTs have shown the world the strength of community, and the relevance of the voice of the many and the one.”
