Six major automakers pledge to phase out gas car production by 2040

The British government stated that six major automakers pledged to phase out of gas-powered vehicle production by 2040. In the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Scotlands the six automakers present were Daimler, General Motors, Ford Motors, Volvo, BYD from China, Mercedes Benz, and a unit from India Tata Motors. All the mentioned automakers came to an agreement.
